Do you deliver wine in Brooklyn?
Yes. Delivery is free in Greenpoint (11222), and you can check whether we reach your address at checkout. You can also order online and pick up at 983 Manhattan Ave, open daily from 12 PM. Someone 21 or older with a valid ID has to receive the order.
What's the difference between this wine and Stella's Cellar?
Everything on this page is on our shelf now, so it's ready today. Stella's Cellar is our special-order selection of thousands of bottles, ready in 2 to 3 days. Look in the Cellar for a specific producer, region or vintage we don't keep in the shop.
How do I find a good bottle under $25?
Start with our wines under $25. Spain, Portugal, southern Italy and the Loire give a lot of flavor for the price, and lesser-known grapes usually cost less than famous names. If you tell us what you're eating, we can point you to a specific bottle in the shop.
How much wine should I buy for a party?
A 750 ml bottle pours about five glasses. For a dinner or a party of two to three hours, plan on half a bottle per guest, then add a couple of extra bottles. A mix of one white, one red and something sparkling covers most groups.
What temperature should I serve wine at?
Serve light whites and sparkling cold, around 45 to 50°F. Fuller whites and rosé are best a little warmer, around 50 to 55°F. Light reds like Beaujolais or Pinot Noir are good slightly chilled at 55 to 60°F. Bigger reds taste best at 60 to 65°F, a bit below room temperature.
